Stats show Mesut Ozil humiliating former Arsenal captain
Stats highlight Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil is wholly outperforming Chelsea's struggling Cesc Fabregas so far this season
Mesut Ozil created his 14th and 15th assists of the Premier League season on Monday night as Arsenal were 2-1 winners against title rivals Manchester City at The Emirates.
The Germany international has been in the form of his Arsenal career in recent months after having made eight goals for his team-mates and scored twice in his last 10 games in all competitions.
Fabregas was restored to the Chelsea starting line-up for Saturday afternoon’s 3-1 win against Sunderland in the defending champions’s first game since controversial manager Jose Mourinho was sacked.
The Spain international called time on his Arsenal career in 2011 and joined boyhood club Barcelona before the playmaker sealed a return to the Premier League after Chelsea agreed a £27m fee in 2014.
