Thierry Henry takes to Twitter to talk up Arsenal's title prospects after 2-1 Manchester City
Thierry Henry says Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City highlights that the Gunners are capable of beating an opponent in the Premier League title race.
The Gunners gave their hopes of winning the English top-flight crown for the first time in 12 years a boost on Monday night after goals from Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud sealed a close-fought win against Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
The north London side are two points behind surprise Premier League leaders Leicester City thanks to their triumph over the 2014 champions ahead of their trip to Ronald Koeman’s struggling Southampton side at St Mary’s next Saturday.
Retired France striker Henry, who was part of the last Arsenal squad to win the Premier League crown in 2004, took to Twitter to post his thoughts on what could prove a decisive night for the Gunners in this season’s title race.
Great win @arsenal. Showed we are a match for anyone. #COYG
