Thierry Henry: Why Man United will believe winning title is possible
Thierry Henry says the unpredictable nature of Premier League should give Manchester United some hope
Thierry Henry says Manchester United will still believe that they can win the Premier League title this season.
The Red Devils slumped to their third defeat of the season on Saturday evening after a 2-1 loss to newly-promoted Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium.
The Red Devils are four points behind leaders Arsenal, although Leicester City can go top and move six points clear of Louis van Gaal’s side with victory over Chelsea on Monday night.
Former Arsenal striker Henry, who won the Premier League in 2002 and 2004, reckons the unpredictable nature of the English top-flight means United can still win the title.
Henry told Sky Sports: “No-one is going on a run. That is why Man United will still believe that they have a chance of winning the title.”
The 20-time English champions have won two of their last six Premier League games after a run of three draws and a defeat.
Van Gaal’s Red Devils side host Premier League newcomers Norwich City at Old Trafford next weekend.
The Dutchman led United to a fourth-place finish and a return to the Champions League in his first season in charge at Old Trafford.
