Lineker, Marsh and more: Twitter reacts as Chelsea lose to Leicester

Gary Lineker is among the tweeters after Leicester City wrap up an impressive 2-1 win over Chelsea to go top of the Premier League

Leicester City moved to the top of the Premier League table with a battling 2-1 victory over Chelsea at the King Power Stadium on Monday night.

The Blues lost Eden Hazard to an apparent hip injury early on, before Jamie Vardy volleyed home Riyad Mahrez’s cross in the 34th minute.

Man of the match Mahrez then found the top corner for his 11th league goal of the season with a superb strike in the 48th minute.

Chelsea pulled one back when substitute Loic Remy nodded in from Pedro’s cross in the 77th minute but the Foxes held on.

The result – which was Chelsea’s ninth of the season – left the Blues languishing in 16th place in the Premier League table and just a point above the relegation zone.

Leicester, meanwhile, moved two points clear of second-placed Arsenal.
