Van Gaal delivers latest Man United injury update ahead of Norwich test
The latest Manchester United injury update, including news on the likes of Wayne Rooney and Ander Herrera
Louis van Gaal has revealed that Chris Smalling, Ander Herrera and Wayne Rooney have all returned to Manchester United training this week ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Norwich City at Old Trafford.
Smalling has been out of action since suffering an injury during the 3-2 loss to Wolfsburg, while Rooney has been sidelined with an ankle problem.
Herrera has missed United’s last five games with a hamstring injury – but joined Smalling and Rooney on the Red Devils’ Carrington training pitches this week.
Despite the positive news of the trio’s return, Van Gaal refused to confirm whether they would be able to take part against the Canaries on Saturday.
The Dutchman also confirmed that Matteo Darmian and Jesse Lingard are both still unavailable to face Norwich.
