Wayne Bridge discusses Chelsea defender’s poor form
Wayne Bridge is backing Branislav Ivanovic to improve his form for Chelsea in the coming weeks and months
Wayne Bridge is backing Branislav Ivanovic to turn around his poor recent run of form and help Chelsea reverse their ailing fortunes.
Ivanovic, like many of his Blues team-mates, has struggled to find consistent form for the west London side this season and was unable to prevent them from slipping to an eighth defeat of the campaign at home to Bournemouth last weekend.

The Serbia international has come in for plenty of criticism in recent weeks for a series of below-par displays for Jose Mourinho’s men.
However, former Chelsea defender Bridge is convinced that it won’t be long before Ivanovic is able to start performing consistently once again.
Speaking exclusively to 888poker.com, Bridge said: “I like to think he can turn things around, a player with such ability. I’ve played with him and he’s such a great guy.
“He is lacking a bit of confidence but it’s a combination of things because it’s also about the environment around him and how the other players are doing.
“The whole team is struggling and I’ve been there where you can get away with struggling as an individual if the team is doing well.”
Chelsea head into Wednesday night’s clash with Porto knowing that a win will book their place in the last 16 of the Champions League as group winners. The Blues then travel to leaders Leicester City in the Premier League on Monday night.
