Wayne Rooney’s ‘most-annoying’ team-mate sends message to Man United captain
Anders Lindegaard responds to Wayne Rooney on Twitter after being named most-annoying Man United team-mate
Anders Lindegaard sent a message to Wayne Rooney on Twitter after the Manchester United captain branded the goalkeeper as his most-annoying team-mate ever.
The Danish shot stopper followed Darren Fletcher to West Bromwich Albion in the summer transfer window on a free transfer after he struggled to secure first-team football under Louis van Gaal.
Lindegaard was team-mates with Rooney for five seasons as the 31-year-old deputised for Edwin van der Sar and David De Gea following his move from Aalesund in 2010.
And the United captain isn’t a fan of the goalkeeper if his recent interview with Sports Magazine is anything to go by.
Asked to the worst team-mate to be stuck in a lift with, Rooney replied: “Anders Lindegaard [now at West Brom]. He’s just annoying.”
However, Lindegaard appears to have a good sense of humour after he posted the below tweet after learning of Rooney’s comments.
Thats why you don't wanna be stuck in an elevator with me lad?

Former United goalkeeper Lindegaard hasn’t made an appearance for the Baggies this season.
