Alan Shearer makes prediction about Man United’s January transfers
Alan Shearer believes that it will be tough for Manchester United to sign their top transfer targets this month
Alan Shearer believes that it will be difficult for Manchester United to sign the striker they need during the January transfer window.
The Red Devils are thought to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements this month as Louis van Gaal bids to turn around his side’s stuttering form.
United head into 2016 on the back of a winless run of eight games in all competitions and having dropped out of the top four in the Premier League.
With the Red Devils having been linked with a number of attacking players in recent media reports, it remains to be seen whether Van Gaal will be able to land any of his transfer targets in the coming weeks.
However, former England striker Shearer believes that United could struggle to bring in their top targets this month.
Shearer told BBC Sport: “United definitely need a striker, there is no doubt about that, but they are going to have the same problem as all the top clubs because the quality player they want is probably not going to be available.”
