Alexis Sanchez is in line to make his return to the Arsenal side this weekend, according to reports
Alexis Sanchez is in contention to make his return to action for Arsenal in Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Sunderland at Emirates Stadium, according to reports.
The Chile international has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury during the 1-1 draw with Norwich City back at the end of November.
Sanchez spent the first few days of his rehabilitation in his native homeland before returning to Arsenal to step up his recovery before the end of the year.
Now, the 27-year-old appears to be closing in on a return to the Arsenal first team, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The same source also reports that midfield duo Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky are also both back in training, but the pair are unlikely to feature against the Black Cats this weekend.
Arsenal were 1-0 winners over Newcastle United at Emirates Stadium on Saturday to lift them two points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
