Andy Cole warns Man United over January transfer window signings
Andy Cole says Manchester United will struggle to sign top players in the January transfer window
Andy Cole has warned Louis van Gaal that he will find it tough to strengthen Manchester United in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils secured their first win in nine games in all competitions after a 2-1 victory over Swansea City at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon thanks to goals from Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney.
We need to get Champions League to inspire those players to come to Old Trafford

The 20-time English champions have been linked with a £50m move for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, whilst Southampton forward Sadio Mane is thought to be another target.
However, former United striker Cole, who is the Premier League’s third highest goal-scorer of all-time, explained why Van Gaal will struggle to land top target in this month’s transfer window.
“It is a tough one. I don’t think anyone wants to lose their best player in the January transfer window,” Cole told Goals on Sunday on Sky Sports.
“When we talk about who you’d like to bring in, we can bang off all these names, but I don’t think Man United will get them. We need to get Champions League to inspire those players to come to Old Trafford to build ahead of next season.”
United are in fifth place and nine points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal after their 2-1 win against Swansea.
