Andy Gray states his prediction for Chelsea v West Brom
Andy Gray is tipping Chelsea to beat Everton in a close encounter at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea will edge to a close-fought victory over West Brom on Wednesday night, according to Andy Gray.
The Blues are looking to extend their unbeaten run to four Premier League games since Guus Hiddink took over the reins from Jose Mourinho in December.
The west London side began their second spell under Hiddink’s management with a 2-2 draw with Watford before a goalless stalemate at Manchester United.
Chelsea were 3-0 winners against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in their most-recent Premier League game, lifting the defending champions six points clear of the relegation zone.
Former Scotland international Gray is tipping Hiddink’s ever-improving side to edge to a narrow win against the Baggies in what should be a tough game at Stamford Bridge.
“It’s a tough game and I don’t think there’ll be very much in it. The Baggies will be very defensive so I don’t expect there to be too many goals, Chelsea to win 1-0,” Gray wrote on Paddy Power’s blog.
West Brom are three points ahead of 14th-place placed Chelsea ahead of Wednesday night’s Premier League game in west London.
Chelsea have already lost nine games in the Premier League this season after a dreadful start to the defence of their top-flight crown.
