Andy Gray is fully expecting to see Tottenham Hotspur return to winning ways in the Premier League when they host Sunderland on Saturday lunchtime.

Spurs suffered a blow to their title hopes when they were beaten 1-0 by high flying Leicester City at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night.

That result left Mauricio Pochettino’s men in fourth place in the Premier League table and seven points behind leaders Arsenal heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures.

Spurs have been one of the Premier League’s most consistent teams this season – but the Lilywhites have still only won four of their last 10 top-flight games.

Nevertheless, former Everton man Gray is tipping Spurs to get back to business in the title race by beating struggling Sunderland 3-1 at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Gray wrote in his column for Paddy Power: “Spurs did everything but score midweek. Sunderland have given themselves a chance to survive with wins against teams around them in the last two games.

“Spurs will be devastated they didn’t win against Leicester, Harry Kane’s miss was key. Sloppy marking caused them to lose. We’re about to see how good they are.

“If they’re serious about top four, they’ll win well. Sunderland still look frail, and Spurs have the quality to rip them apart. Jermaine Defoe will look to keep his run going.”
