Arsene Wenger reflected on a thrilling game after Arsenal were held to a 3-3 draw at Liverpool
Arsene Wenger reflected on an intense game after watching his Arsenal side be pegged back and held to a thrilling 3-3 draw at Liverpool on Wednesday night.
Speaking to BT Sport after the final whistle, Wenger said: “The game had total commitment from two teams.
“We had a difficult start, they were on top in the first 20 minutes and I believe after that we came well back into the game.
“Of course, in the end we were the most disappointed because we were 3-2 up. But I feel as well at 3-2 we were guilty of two or three bad decisions in the final third where we tried to play not together enough and in the end we got caught on a long ball.
“It’s unfortunate, but overall you cannot fault both teams for giving absolutely everything.”
Roberto Firmino gave Liverpool the lead in the 10th minute after a bright start from the home side.
But Arsenal fought back and equalised against the run of play when Aaron Ramsey fired home four minutes later.
