Bastian Schweinsteiger reacts on Twitter as Man United beat Derby

Bastian Schweinsteiger was a happy man after watching Manchester United reach the fifth round of the FA Cup

Bastian Schweinsteiger has taken to social media to reveal his delight at watching his Manchester United team-mates wrap up a 3-1 FA Cup win over Derby County on Friday night.

The Red Devils bounced back from their loss to Southampton in the Premier League last weekend as they secured victory to become the first team to book their place in the fifth round.

Wayne Rooney gave United the lead when curled home in the 16th minute – despite the striker appearing to be offside in the build-up – before George Thorne equalised to make it 1-1 at half-time.

Daley Blind put the visitors in front again when he converted Jesse Lingard’s cross in the 65th minute, before Juan Mata sealed victory seven minutes from time to relieve some of the pressure on manager Louis van Gaal.

And Schweinsteiger, who missed the game through injury, was clearly a happy man after the final whistle.
