Charlie Nicholas predicts where Man United, Tottenham will finish this season

Charlie Nicholas believes that Manchester United are on course to secure a top-four finish this season along with Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham.

High-flying Leicester are currently second in the table heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures and level on points with leaders Arsenal.

However, Nicholas is expecting Claudio Ranieri’s men to endure a slump during the second half of the campaign and eventually drop out of the top four.

The former Arsenal man feels that United have what it takes to finish fourth for the second season running under Louis van Gaal.

And Nicholas is tipping Arsenal to win the title ahead of Manchester City.

Nicholas told Sky Sports News HQ: “Wayne Rooney being back in the goals for United is absolutely massive. He’s a big-time player and makes the difference in the key matches now he has got his confidence back.

“United’s win at Liverpool put pressure on Leicester and I’m not sure their squad has enough in it to handle the injuries and the pressure when it comes their way.

“Liverpool and Everton are two sides that looked like they could have had a go but both have been so disappointing.

“I predict: Arsenal 1st, Man City 2nd, Tottenham 3rd, Man United 4th.”

Arsenal take on champions Chelsea at Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon, while Manchester United face Southampton at Old Trafford on Saturday.

United were eliminated from the Champions League when they suffered a 3-2 defeat by Wolfsburg last month.
