Clyne, Moreno and more: Liverpool stars take to Twitter after Stoke win

Nathaniel Clyne and Alberto Moreno have their say on Liverpool's 1-0 win against Stoke in League Cup semi-final first-leg clash

Liverpool edged a step closer to the League Cup final after a 1-0 victory over Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Reds have a miserable away record in the Premier League over the past month or so following defeats by Newcastle United, Watford and West Ham United.

But Liverpool made a bright start at Stoke and despite losing Philippe Coutinho and Dejan Lovren to injury, substitute Jordon Ibe scored a first-half winner in the first leg of the semi-final.

The Reds have won their last three League Cup games at the Britannia Stadium and Spanish defender Alberto Moreno was thrilled to take a step closer to his first English cup final:

Another Liverpool full-back Nathaniel Clyne posts a photo of his celebration with match-winner Ibe after a professional performance from Jurgen Klopp’s side:

Finally, Belgium international Simon Mignolet warned the Reds that only half the job is done in their pursuit of a place in the League Cup final:

Superb performance by everyone tonight, away fans included as always! Job only half done. #YNWA #cleansheet
