Daniel Sturridge is staying positive following his latest Liverpool injury setback

Daniel Sturridge has taken to social media to insist that he is staying positive as he works on his fitness following the Liverpool’ striker’s latest injury setback.

The England striker has not featured for the Reds since the 2-0 defeat by Newcastle United on 6 December after picking up a hamstring injury at St James’ Park.

It has been a frustrating few months for Sturridge, who has been limited to just three Premier League starts this season due to a string of injury problems.

However, the 26-year-old appears to be doing his best to keep himself in good spirits, if his latest post on social media is anything to go by.

Sturridge posted the photo above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Through highs and lows I’m thankful for my blessings.”
