David May makes prediction about Man United’s chances of signing Gareth Bale

David May says there is no chance Gareth Bale could leave Real Madrid to join Manchester United

David May says that there is no chance that Gareth Bale could join Manchester United from Real Madrid.

The Wales international has been heavily linked with a potential transfer to Old Trafford in recent weeks amid continuing speculation about his future at Real Madrid.

United were keen on bringing Bale to the club during David Moyes’ doomed reign before the Wales international secured his big-money transfer to Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.

Bale continues to be touted as a possible target for the Premier League club as Louis van Gaal looks to add more firepower to his Red Devils squad.

But former Manchester United defender May says that there is absolutely no chance that the proposed transfer could go ahead.

Speaking exclusively to 888sport.com, May said: “You hear it every day where Bale is coming or Cristiano Ronaldo is coming back and I realise they have to sell newspapers but never in a million years is it going to happen.

“Don’t get me wrong I would love Gareth Bale to come to Old Trafford. But is it going to happen? I can’t see it. Not right now.”
