David Moyes: Why Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino deserves credit
David Moyes praises Mauricio Pochettino for placing his faith in Tottenham's young England stars
David Moyes says Mauricio Pochettino deserves credit for placing his faith in young England talent at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spurs manager has seen Harry Kane blossom over the past 18 months at White Hart Lane, culminating in the striker being named PFA young player of the year last April.
Pochettino has also trusted youngsters like Danny Rose and Ryan Mason, whilst Dele Alli and Eric Dier have emerged as Tottenham first-team players this term.
Former Everton and Manchester United manager Moyes explained why Pochettino is worthy of praise for playing young England talent.
“Tottenham have done very well,” Moyes told BBC’s Match Of The Day.
“You have to give the manager a lot of credit for playing them. The only way they can improve is by playing them.”
Tottenham were 4-1 winners against Sunderland at White Hart Lane on Saturday thanks to Christian Eriksen’s brace and goals from Harry Kane and Mousa Dembele.
