Manchester United booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 3-1 victory at Derby County on Friday night.

Louis van Gaal’s men bounced back from their loss to Southampton in the Premier League last weekend as they secured victory to become the first team to book their place in the fifth round.

Wayne Rooney gave United the lead when curled home in the 16th minute – despite the striker appearing to be offside in the build-up – before George Thorne equalised to make it 1-1 at half-time.

Daley Blind then put the visitors in front again when he converted Jesse Lingard’s cross in the 65th minute.

And Juan Mata sealed victory seven minutes from time to relieve some of the pressure on manager Louis van Gaal.

The FA Cup win inevitably prompted plenty of activity on social media from United’s players – and here are some of our favourite post-match updates.
