Eden Hazard injury news: Guus Hiddink reveals latest on Chelsea star
Eden Hazard is set to miss Chelsea's next two games, interim boss Guus Hiddink has revealed
Eden Hazard is set to miss Chelsea’s midweek Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion due to injury, Guus Hiddink confirmed on Sunday as he delivered the latest news on the playmaker.
Hazard picked up a suspected groin injury early on during Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park earlier this month and sat out the FA Cup victory over Scunthorpe United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The 25-year-old had been struggling with a hip problem before his latest setback.
And speaking after Chelsea’s 2-0 victory in west London on Sunday as they booked their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup, interim boss Hiddink confirmed that Hazard is likely to miss the Blues’ next two games.
Speaking at his post-match news conference at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, Hiddink said: “I don’t want him to fall again with muscle problems.
“I want to be careful with him that he doesn’t start too early.”
Hazard, who won the PFA player of the year award last season, has been struggling to find consistent form for the west London club so far this season and is yet to score in the Premier League.
