Eden Hazard hands Chelsea a timely boost for Arsenal trip – report
Eden Hazard is closing in on a return to action for Chelsea ahead of Sunday's Premier League trip to Arsenal
Eden Hazard is winning his race to be fit for Chelsea’s Premier League showdown at Arsenal on Sunday, according to reports.
The Belgian playmaker has been out of action since suffering a groin injury early on during the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at the start of the month but has stepped up his rehabilitation in recent days.
Hazard returned to full training with his Chelsea team-mates on Wednesday, according to the Daily Mail, and is edging closer towards proving his fitness ahead of Sunday’s crunch clash at The Emirates.
The 25-year-old – like many of his Chelsea colleagues – has struggled to produce consistent form this season and is yet to score in the Premier League for the west London club.
His form this season marks a significant drop after his stellar displays last season inspired Chelsea to a Premier League and League Cup double and earned him the PFA player of the year award.
Hazard has been linked with a big-money transfer away from Chelsea in recent days.
Chelsea head into Sunday’s game against the Premier League leaders in 14th place in the top-flight table and just four points above the relegation zone.
