Former Chelsea star disagrees with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool assessment
Jurgen Klopp was off the mark in his assessment of Liverpool's performance at Upton Park, says Tony Cascarino
Tony Cascarino has disagreed with Jurgen Klopp’s assessment of Liverpool after their 2-0 loss to West Ham United on Saturday.
The Reds slumped to a third defeat in four Premier League games on the road after a resounding 2-0 loss to West Ham United at Upton Park on Saturday afternoon.
Liverpool have dropped to eighth place in the Premier League table and 12 points behind leaders Arsenal following their defeat by the Hammers.
However, Cascarino disagreed with Klopp’s post-match assessment of the Reds after the former Borussia Dortmund manager claimed his players were missing just five per cent in the east London clash.
“Jurgen Klopp said they were 95 per cent at it, that’s about 75 per cent out!” Cascarino told Sky Sports.
“They were so short and that was probably as disappointing a performance I’ve seen from Liverpool in a long time.”
Klopp has only managed to win five of his 12 Premier League games in charge of Liverpool after he replaced Brendan Rodgers in the Anfield hot seat in October.
Liverpool host Premier League leaders Arsenal in their next top-flight game at Anfield on 13 January.
