Glenn Hoddle heaps praise on Dele Alli after the youngster's stunning goal for Tottenham at Crystal Palace

Glenn Hoddle took to social media to heap praise on Dele Alli after the youngster’s stunning goal in Tottenham’s 3-1 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

With the score level at 1-1 at Selhurst Park, Alli delightfully volleyed home in the 84th minute to put the visitors ahead, before substitute Nacer Chadli added a third late on.

The result was a key win for the north London club in their bid to secure a top four finish and moved them to within two points of Arsenal, who host Chelsea at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs are now fourth and five points behind leaders Leicester City heading into their trip to Norwich on 2 February.

And former Tottenham boss Hoddle could not hide his delight at seeing Alli continue to impress with his brilliant solo goal against the Eagles.
