Graeme Le Saux says he is a big fan of Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose
Graeme Le Saux says he is a big fan of Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose.
The England international has been vying with Welsh star Ben Davies for the left-back spot in Mauricio Pochettino’s impressive Tottenham side this season.
The 25-year-old Spurs full-back has made two assists in 11 Premier League appearances for the north London side so far this season.
Former Chelsea defender Le Saux, who won the Premier League title with Blackburn Rovers in 1995, believes Rose is a key part of an exciting, young project at White Hart Lane.
“I like him as a full-back. Tottenham are really developing their young English players and that’s got to be good from an England point of view because if you’ve got four or five from the same club then you have a group who know each other really well,” said Le Saux, speaking exclusively to 888poker.com.
Rose has made 13 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions so far this season.
The north London side are in fourth place in the Premier League table after a 4-1 victory over Sunderland at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
