Ian Wright predicts where Arsenal will finish after Chelsea loss

Ian Wright discusses Arsenal's Premier League title hopes after their 1-0 loss to Chelsea on Sunday

Ian Wright is still backing Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season, despite their demoralising defeat by Chelsea on Sunday.

The Blues secured a 1-0 win over the 10-man Gunners as Diego Costa scored the only goal of the game in the 23rd minute at Emirates Stadium.

Having started the weekend at the top of the Premier League table, Arsenal have dropped down into third place and now trail leaders Leicester City by three points heading into the final 15 games of the season.

However, despite their below-par performance against the west London side on Sunday, Arsenal legend Wright is still backing his former club to go all the way and lift the Premier League trophy for the first time since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, former striker Wright said: “I still have to go for Arsenal because you know they’re in this inconsistent league.

“Everyone is inconsistent apart from Leicester. Everyone has a chance. [But] they do need to string three or four wins together.”
