Jamie Carragher states his prediction for Liverpool v Man United
Jamie Carragher is tipping Liverpool's clash with Manchester United to end in a 2-2 draw at Anfield
Jamie Carragher is expecting to see Liverpool be held to a draw by Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds head into the game on the back of their thrilling 3-3 draw with Arsenal on Wednesday night, when Joe Allen’s late equaliser handed Jurgen Klopp’s men a deserved point on Merseyside.
United also played out a 3-3 draw of their own in midweek, as they were twice pegged back by Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Tuesday night.
Despite admitting that he would love to see his former employers beat the Red Devils in front of the Anfield faithful, Carragher is expecting Sunday’s crunch clash on Merseyside to finish all square.
Carragher told Sky Sports: “I’d love to see Liverpool win the game, obviously, but I actually think it will be a draw.
“I can see a 2-2. Rooney is coming back into form and I think Anthony Martial is a fantastic player.
“The problems Liverpool have at the moment, conceding goals with their goalkeeper and back four, you can’t see Liverpool keeping United out.”
