Jamie Carragher says Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp must be patient in the January transfer window
Jamie Carragher has urged Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp not to panic buy in the January transfer window.
The Reds edged a step closer to the League Cup final on Tuesday night thanks to a 1-0 victory over Stoke City in the first leg of their last-four clash at the Britannia Stadium.
If he can get the right player that he wants now, get him. If not, bide your time and wait for the summer

However, Klopp’s side have been struggling in the Premier League over the past month or so following their third loss in the four away games at West Ham United on Saturday.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager has been linked with a move for BVB striker Pierre-Emerick Aubayameng in recent weeks, whilst centre-halves Neven Subotic and Andrea Ranocchia are thought to be options to ease their defensive crisis.
But former Liverpool centre-half Carragher warned Klopp that he should only sign players capable of significantly improving his squad, preaching patience from the German.
“The squad is not deep enough, but I don’t think as a manager and a club you want to buy someone now in a panic and maybe regret it for next season,” Carragher is quoted as saying at a Liverpool legends’s media conference in Australia.
“If he can get the right player that he wants now, get him. If not, bide your time and wait for the summer.”
