Jamie Carragher sends a message to Jon Flanagan after Liverpool defender's comeback in FA Cup third-round replay
Jamie Carragher was one of the first on Twitter to congratulate Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan on his return from injury on Wednesday night.
The Reds full-back came on as a second-half substitute in the 51st-minute to make his first Liverpool appearance in 619 days.
Flanagan replaced Connor Randall and helped Jurgen Klopp’s side ease to a 3-0 victory over Exeter City in their FA Cup third-round replay at Anfield.
And Carragher, who won the FA Cup twice during his Liverpool career, sent a message to Flanagan after the full-back’s comeback.

The Liverpool youngster has been sidelined with a knee injury since the end of the 2013/14 season before the 22-year-old required further surgery on the problem at the start of the season.
Flanagan, who was part of the Reds’s League Cup-winning squad in 2012, scored one goal in 25 Premier League appearances during the 2013/14 season.
The Reds will face West Ham United in the fourth round of the FA Cup at Anfield.
