John Barnes states his prediction for Liverpool v Man United

John Barnes is backing Christian Benteke to fire Liverpool to a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in Sunday’s crunch clash at Anfield.

Both sides head into the game struggling to find consistent form and on the back of thrilling 3-3 draws in midweek.

Liverpool came from behind to secure a point against Arsenal thanks to Joe Allen’s stoppage-time goal at Anfield on Wednesday night.

United, meanwhile, twice squandered the lead as they were forced to settle for a point from their game against Newcastle United at St James’ Park the night before.

Liverpool have only won four of their least 10 Premier League games under newly-appointed manager Klopp.

The Red Devils have also struggled in recent weeks and have recorded just three wins form their last 10 top-flight outings.

However, former England and Liverpool winger Barnes is tipping the Reds to make home advantage count and secure a narrow 1-0 win over United at Anfield.
