John Barnes states his prediction for Stoke v Arsenal

John Barnes is tipping Arsenal to secure a 2-1 win at Stoke City on Sunday afternoon

John Barnes is tipping Arsenal to secure a slender 2-1 win over Stoke City on Sunday to retain their place at the top of the Premier League table.

The Gunners saw their lead at the top of the Premier League table cut down to just goal difference after they were forced to settle for a point in Wednesday night’s thrilling 3-3 draw with Liverpool at Anfield.

Arsenal are now only top of the table thanks to their superior goal difference over second-placed Leicester City.

Barnes believes that this season represents Arsenal’s best chance of winning the Premier League title for many seasons.

And the former Liverpool winger is tipping the north London side to return to winning ways at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

England man Barnes wrote in his column for Titanbet: “Stoke have often been tough opponents for Arsenal at home in the past.

“However, this Mark Hughes side aren’t the beast they have been, and Arsene Wenger’s team are playing very well. Goal-scorers – Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Jonathan Walters.”
