John Barnes: What Liverpool must do to find consistency under Jurgen Klopp
John Barnes explains what Liverpool need to do to improve their Premier League form after an inconsistent spell
John Barnes has warned Jurgen Klopp that Liverpool will struggle to find any consistency until their injury problems improve and the Reds manager improves his squad.
The Merseyside outfit played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Premier League leaders Arsenal at Anfield on Wednesday night thanks to Joe Allen’s added-time equaliser.
They need to improve the squad with players clearly better than the ones they have

Liverpool have only won four Premier League games since Klopp took over the reins of the 18-time English champions from Brendan Rodgers in October.
Former Reds captain Barnes believes Klopp doesn’t have enough quality players in his squad, resulting in their inconsistent performances so far this season.
“They’ve got to get everyone fit to begin with and they still need to improve the squad,” Barnes told The Sport Review.
“They need to improve the squad with players clearly better than the ones they have, there’s no point spending money just for the sake of it.
“If you look at what’s happening in the Premier League in general, everyone’s inconsistent.
“Arsenal and Manchester City are the top two teams, but even Arsenal lost 4-0 at Southampton the other week.”
Liverpool are in ninth place in the table but only five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur after Leicester City were 1-0 winners at White Hart Lane.
