Juventus striker’s agent gives transfer update on reported Tottenham target
Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Simone Zaza is going nowhere, according to the Juve striker's agent
Simone Zaza is happy at Juventus despite talk of a move to the Premier League, according to his agent.
The Italy international has struggled to get a regular spot in Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus starting line-up this season.
A transfer? When a player does well it’s normal that he’ll attract the interest of clubs looking for certain characteristics
Zaza has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Crsyal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United all thought to be interested.
The striker’s goal in a 3-0 win against Verona in Serie A on Wednesday night has only served to intensify speculation.
However, Zaza’s agent Christian Maifredi insisted that the 24-year-old full-back is confident that he can secure more first-team football in the second half of the season.
“Simone knows how to be ready [to come off the bench],” Maifredi is quoted as saying by Football Italia.
“It’s good that he’s in a prolific state of form. He’d like to play a bit more, but that’s normal for a footballer.
“The situation is positive, he’s hoping to play a bit more in the coming weeks. There are a lot of games, the first half of the season was a bit difficult for the team, but now Juventus are back up there.
“Hopefully he can find more space.
“Simone has been at Juve for six months, and has always done well on the pitch. He adapted right away, even if it’s never easy to go from Sassuolo to such a big team, one of the best in the world.

“At the moment though Simone is happy at Juventus, maybe he’ll do even better.”
Zaza moved to Juventus from minnows Sassuolo in the summer transfer window.
The Italy forward has scored a respectable three goals in three Serie A starts this season, making a further five appearances from the bench.
Zaza has scored one goal in seven appearances for the Italian national team.
