Latest Liverpool injury update hands Arsenal a major boost

Liverpool will be without both Philippe Coutinho and Dejan Lovren when they host Arsenal next week

Liverpool are set to be without both Philippe Coutinho and Dejan Lovren for their Premier League clash with Arsenal at Anfield next week, Jurgen Klopp has revealed.

Coutinho and Lovren were forced off during Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Stoke City in the League Cup on Tuesday night after picking up hamstring injuries.

Klopp has now confirmed that the pair will definitely miss Friday night’s FA Cup clash with Exeter and next week’s showdown with the Premier League leaders on Merseyside.

Defender Kolo Toure has also been ruled out of the cup clash but could return to face his former club at Anfield.

The news will come as a significant blow to Liverpool, with Coutinho having been a regular fixture in Klopp’s first team so far this season.
