Laurent Koscielny is a happy man after firing Arsenal to victory over Newcastle United on Saturday
Laurent Koscielny was understandably all smiles after the defender fired Arsenal to a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners defender ensured Arsenal kicked off 2016 with a victory by scoring a 72nd-minute winner at Emirates Stadium to move the north London side two points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
After a goalless first half, Koscielny reacted quickest and slotted into the bottom corner from close range after Mesut Ozil’s corner fell into his path.
And the France international, who has been a regular fixture in Arsenal’s first team this season, was clearly thrilled to help Arsene Wenger’s men wrap up the three points against the Magpies.
Koscielny posted the picture above on his personal Twitter account on Saturday evening and wrote: “VICTORY #AFCvNUFC !”
