Lineker, Jenas and more: Twitter reacts as Tottenham draw with Everton
Gary Lineker and Jermaine Jenas take to Twitter after Everton and Tottenham Hotspur play out a 1-1 draw
Tottenham Hotspur lost ground in the Premier League title race after a 1-1 draw with Everton at Goodison Park.
The Toffees eased into a first-half lead against the run of play after Aaron Lennon netted a sumptuous volley against his former employers in the 22nd minute.
However, England international Dele Alli equalised before half-time after Tottenham’s rising star guided Toby Alderweireld’s floated cross past Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard.
The visitors hit the woodwork twice on Merseyside but Mauricio Pochettino’s side couldn’t find a winner despite the introduction of South Korea international Son Heung-min and Belgium forward Nacer Chadli in the second half.
Tottenham are six points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal after Arsene Wenger’s side were 1-0 winners against Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Here is a selection of the best Twitter reaction from the professionals, past and present, and as always, in chronological order to a thrilling stalemate at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs looking a cut above. Everton going back to early season ways of passing for sake of it. Lukaku gets frustrated and drops deep.
