Manchester United are ready to make a £20m bid to sign CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa this month, according to reports.

The Red Devils have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks but are yet to make any new signings.

Louis van Gaal has maintained that he is on the lookout for reinforcements this month but conceded that January is a difficult time of year to find the right players.

United have been tipped to make a move for forward Musa this month, and the Daily Star is reporting that the Red Devils could make a late swoop for the player before Monday’s transfer deadline.

The Nigerian has scored 10 goals in 29 games this season and has also been linked with a transfer to Premier League leaders Leicester City.

CSKA are believed to want £20m for the player and the same newspaper reports that United are willing to match their asking price.
