Man United set to sign promising attacker – report

Tahith Chong is closing in on a transfer to Manchester United ahead of Chelsea, say reports

Manchester United are increasingly confident of signing highly-rated attacker Tahith Chong from Feyenoord, according to reports.

The Red Devils have been linked with a move to sign the 16-year-old in recent weeks, with Chelsea also having been credited with an interest in the teenager.

Chong can play up front or out wide and United are believed to now be leading the chase for his signature ahead of Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail.

The same report also states that the player himself is likely to favour a move to United over a switch to Stamford Bridge.

The Red Devils have inevitably been linked with a host of players in recent weeks as Van Gaal considers bolstering his squad at Old Trafford before the close of the January transfer window.
