Man United signing sends warning to Liverpool ahead of Anfield clash
Manchester United new-boy Matteo Darmian is looking forward to the crunch clash with Liverpool at Anfield this weekend
Matteo Darmian has warned Liverpool that Manchester United will be going all out to return to winning ways when they take on the Reds at Anfield in Sunday’s crunch clash.
United twice squandered the lead as they played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at Newcastle United on Tuesday night as they dropped more points in a disappointing run of results for Louis van Gaal’s men.
The Red Devils have only won three of their last 10 Premier League games and head to Merseyside on Sunday in sixth place in the Premier League table and two points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
And summer signing Darmian, who joined United from Torino in July, is desperate to help the Red Devils return to winning ways this weekend.
Speaking to United’s website Darmian said: “It’s a big match against Liverpool this weekend.
“We’ll try to be ready for that game and now we have to focus on this challenge and that’s all – obviously, we want to win.”

The Italy defender also feels happy with the way he has been settling into life at Old Trafford following his summer transfer to the English club.
He continued: “I’m good and happy to stay here at a big club like Manchester United. I’m happy and I want to continue.
“It’s been a big season for me and hopefully 2016 will be similar for me. Last summer, I signed for a big club in United and, next summer, the European Championship is a big chance for me where we will fight to win it with Italy.”
