Man United transfers: Matteo Darmian delivers update on Red Devils future
Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian rules out a return to Serie A
Matteo Darmian says he is ignoring transfer speculation linking the Manchester United defender with a return to Italy.
The United full-back has endured an underwhelming start to his Red Devils career following a £12.5m move to Old Trafford from Serie A side Torino in the summer transfer window.

Darmian has made 13 Premier League starts for the 20-time English champions in an injury-hit campaign for the 26-year-old defender so far this season.
However, the Italian, who has recently recovered from a hamstring injury that he suffered in October, ruled out a return to Serie A in the near future.
“I am happy with the team, the staff and the city, so I just try to ignore the rumours,” Darmian is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
“To return after a hamstring injury is not easy. Sometimes it affects you mentally. But now I feel good. I want to play like I did at the beginning of the season and that is what I’m trying to do.
“I think the manager is happy with my progress and when I train I try to improve day by day.”
Darmian, who was part of a summer overhaul of Louis van Gaal’s squad at Old Trafford, has already racked up 21 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
United were 1-0 winners against Sheffield United in the FA Cup third round on Saturday evening after Wayne Rooney’s 90th-minute penalty at Old Trafford.
