Man United transfers: PSG star hints at move away from Parc des Princes
Marquinhos admits that he will consider his future at PSG in the summer amid reports linking him with a move to England
Marquinhos has put Chelsea and Manchester United on alert by revealing that he will consider his future at the end of the season following his lack of playing time at the French club.
The Brazilian defender has only notched up nine appearances for the Ligue 1 side so far this season after struggling to hold down a regular spot in Laurent Blanc’s side.
Both Chelsea and United have been touted as possible destinations for the 21-year-old in recent months.
The player himself has ruled out a January transfer away from PSG but admits that he may have to consider his future in the summer if he is unable to force his way into the first team in Paris.
Marquinhos, who joined PSG from Roma in the summer of 2013, told Journal du Dimanche: “Like everybody, I am always thinking about getting into the starting XI.
“But you have to respect the coach’s decision and that of the board. I will continue to work in order to get my place.
“But it is true that there will be a moment where I want more. We can not always be used to the bench.
“Six months remain to win trophies and to try to become a starter. After that, we will see what happens.”
Manchester United kicked off 2016 with a 2-1 win over Swansea City on Saturday, while Chelsea were 3-0 winners at Crystal Palace on Sunday.
