Memphis Depay has taken to social media to deliver a glimpse into the nutritional world of Premier League footballers as he and his Manchester United team-mates prepare for their trip to Liverpool on Sunday lunchtime.

Depay and the rest of the Red Devils squad are gearing up for their trip to Merseyside this weekend as they look to return to winning ways following the disappointment of their 3-3 draw with Newcastle United on Tuesday night.

United twice let the lead slip as they were forced to settle for a point against Steve McClaren’s Magpies at St James’ Park.

However, summer signing Depay looked to be in good spirits as Louis van Gaal’s side turn their attentions to their crunch clash against Liverpool on Sunday.

Depay posted the picture above of his lunch – some spaghetti alla carbonara and a glass of still water – on social media after training on Friday morning at Carrington.

Depay shared the photo above on Instagram and wrote: “Lunch time! My favorite pasta carbonara.”
