Mesut Ozil reacts on Twitter to Arsenal’s 3-3 draw at Liverpool
Mesut Ozil has his say after Arsenal were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw at Liverpool on Wednesday night
Mesut Ozil looked for the positives after Arsenal were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw at Liverpool in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
Roberto Firmino gave Liverpool the lead after a bright start from Jurgen Klopp’s men but Aaron Ramsey equalised shortly after.
Firmino then curled home a superb second to put the home side in front once again, but Olivier Giroud turned home from a corner to make it 2-2 at half-time.
Giroud put Arsenal ahead for the first time in the game with a neat turn and shot, but substitute Joe Allen rescued a point for the hosts in stoppage time when he fired into the bottom corner.
The result left Arsenal top of the table on goal difference and level on points with Leicester City, who were 1-0 winners at Tottenham on Wednesday night.
And Ozil was in a reflective mood as he took to Twitter after the final whistle.
Ozil tweeted:
There was no time to blink during the match! A pity we couldn’t take the 3 points with us to London!
But chin up, we're still
