Michael Owen states his prediction for Arsenal v Newcastle

Michael Owen is expecting to see Arsenal secure the three points against Newcastle on Saturday

Michael Owen is fully expecting Arsenal to kick off 2016 with a victory when the Gunners host Newcastle United at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

The north London side head into the new year top of the Premier League table after Arsene Wenger’s men returned to winning ways with a 2-0 triumph over Bournemouth on Monday evening.

The Gunners are currently ahead of Leicester City on goal difference and will be looking to secure victory over the Magpies to keep their top-flight title bid on track.

Arsenal have been tipped to be one of the heavy favourites to win the Premier League title this season.

And former Liverpool striker Owen is fully expecting to see Arsenal seal the three points against the Magpies this weekend.

Owen wrote in his column for Bet Victor: “The Gunners have won eight successive Premier League games against the Magpies and it is hard to see past another home win for the league leaders who have dropped just two points out of their last 21 at The Emirates.”
