Michael Owen states his prediction for Chelsea v West Brom

Michael Owen can only see one winner when Chelsea host West Brom...

Michael Owen is expecting to see Chelsea coast to victory when they host West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

The Blues have enjoyed something of a revival since Guus Hiddink’s appointment as Jose Mourinho’s successor as interim boss of the west London club.

Chelsea have won their last two games on the bounce, including an impressive 3-0 Premier League victory at Crystal Palace at the turn of the year.

However, their stuttering start to the season has left them in 14th place in the Premier League table as they look to climb the league as quickly as possible in the second half of the campaign.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen is fully expecting to see the west London side claim victory over the Baggies in west London on Wednesday.

Owen wrote in his blog for Bet Victor: “Diego Costa has scored as many goals in two Premier League games (three) under Guus Hiddink as he had in 14 top-flight games under Jose Mourinho and it would be a big blow to the hosts if he missed the game through injury.

“Chelsea are not yet back to their brilliant best but should have too much for the Baggies at Stamford Bridge.”
