Michael Owen states his prediction for Crystal Palace v Tottenham
Michael Owen is tipping Tottenham to seal a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace this weekend...
Michael Owen is tipping Tottenham to make it back to back victories in the Premier League by beating Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.
Spurs returned to winning ways in the top flight thanks to a 4-1 victory over Sunderland at White Hart Lane last weekend.
Tottenham have been tipped to be outsiders for the Premier League title this season and head into this weekend’s game against the Eagles in fourth place in the Premier League table and five points behind leaders Arsenal.
Former England and Liverpool striker Owen is fully expecting to see Mauricio Pochettino’s men underline their title credentials with victory over Alan Pardew’s men on Saturday.
Ex-forward Owen wrote on his blog for Colossus Bets: “They got back on track with a 4-1 defeat of Sunderland and are meeting Crystal Palace at the right time, it seems.
“Palace are without a win in their last five league games, and even more worryingly have failed to score in any of those defeats, though they did win 2-1 at Southampton in the FA Cup. And they have lost five of their 11 home games.
“I go for Tottenham to win 1-0, even if they had the distraction of an FA Cup replay at Leicester on Wednesday night.”
