Michael Owen reacts on Twitter to Man United’s loss to Southampton

Michael Owen feels that it is time for a change at Manchester United...

Michael Owen has taken to social media to urge Manchester United’s board to consider a change after watching the Red Devils slump to a 1-0 loss to Southampton on Saturday.

Charlie Austin came off the bench to score a late winner and condemn the Red Devils to their sixth Premier League defeat of the season.

The result means that United have only now won two of their last 10 Premier League games and has left manager Louis van Gaal under increasing pressure.

There has been speculation that sacked Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho could be in the running to take over at Old Trafford should Van Gaal depart.

And it appears that former United striker Owen feels that the Red Devils are in need of a change.

Owen tweeted after Saturday’s game:

United finished fourth in Van Gaal’s first season at the club but were dumped out of the Champions League at the group stage last month.
