Michael Owen states his prediction for Tottenham v Leicester

Micchael Owen is expecting Tottenham to beat Leicester in the FA Cup third round this weekend

Michael Owen is tipping Tottenham Hotspur to reach the fourth round of the FA Cup by beating Leicester City at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Spurs have been one of the Premier League’s most consistent teams so far this season and have only suffered two defeats in 20 games to leave them in fourth place in the table.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men host the Foxes looking to return to winning ways after they came from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw at Everton last weekend.

Leicester, meanwhile, have been one of the surprise packages of the season and are currently flying high in second place in the table, just two points behind leaders Arsenal.

And former Liverpool and England striker Owen is tipping Tottenham to secure victory and their progression in the competition in north London this weekend.

Owen told on Sportlobster: “I think the biggest tie of all is Tottenham v Leicester. With [Jamie] Vardy being out for Leicester this weekend with minor groin surgery, I fancy Tottenham here.

“I think they are going to beat Leicester in what looks to be the tie of the round.”
