Michael Owen: This player will score for Chelsea v Crystal Palace
Michael Owen says Diego Costa's return against Crystal Palace will be key for the Blues
Michael Owen is tipping Diego Costa to fire Chelsea to victory at Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues head into their first game of 2016 looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League after they were held to a goalless draw by Manchester United at Old Trafford last week.
Chelsea’s title defence has been left in tatters by their disastrous start to the new season, which culminated in the sacking of Jose Mourinho in early December.
Guus Hiddink has been tasked with steering the Blues out of trouble after being placed in temporary charge until the end of the season.
Chelsea are currently languishing in 14th place in the Premier League table as they prepare to make the short trip to Selhurst Park on Sunday.
And former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen feels that Costa could well fire the visitors to victory over their London rivals.
Owen wrote in his blog for Bet Victor: “Diego Costa returns from suspension for the Blues and he might be the difference against an Eagles side who mustered just two shots on target against Swansea in their last home game.
“Palace are struggling with injuries and Yohan Cabaye is suspended which will be a big blow to the hosts.”
