Morgan Schneiderlin issues rallying cry ahead of Liverpool v Man United
Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin says he is gutted after Newcastle draw
Morgan Schneiderlin says Manchester United will keep fighting ahead of Sunday’s trip to Liverpool after a disappointing 3-3 draw at Newcastle United last night.
Paul Dummett rescued a valuable point for Steve McClaren’s struggling Newcastle side as the Red Devils twice squandered the lead in Tuesday night’s game at St James’ Park.
Wayne Rooney appeared to have secured three points for the hosts with a brilliant long-range strike after Georginio Wijnaldum and Aleksandar Mitrovic cancelled out the United captain’s opener and Jesse Lingard’s goal.
But Dummett fired a brilliant 90th-minute equaliser which deflected off Chris Smalling and past David De Gea to deny United three points ahead of their next game against bitter rivals Liverpool at Anfield.
Unsurprisingly, Schneiderlin was devastated about the result and the summer signing took to Twitter to express his disappointment.
Gutted not to get the 3 points we worked hard for, we will keep on fighting #MUFC
